About TermsBird

TermsBird is a small piece of software for the person in a small or mid-size business who is responsible for the contracts it has already signed. The office manager, the operations lead, the practice or nonprofit administrator, the owner doing it at the weekend: it is built for the job they already do with a shared drive, a calendar reminder somebody set once, and a memory of which supplier renews in March. It keeps the contract, its dates and its obligations in one place, and it tells them about a renewal before the notice window shuts.

Why this site exists

This site exists because the contracts a small business signs stop being visible the moment they are signed. The negotiation had everybody's attention; the executed PDF went into a folder. Then a supplier auto-renews for another year because the notice window was ninety days and nobody was counting, or a client asks for a copy of the agreement and three people search three different places for it, or an obligation in clause 9 turns out to have been nobody's job. None of that is a legal problem and a lawyer cannot fix it. It is a record problem, and TermsBird is the record, with the sheets that price the category given away around it.

Who it is for

The person responsible for a small or mid-size US business's signed contracts: a dozen to a few hundred live agreements, a handful renewing every quarter, and nobody whose entire job is the paperwork.

Not a lawyer or a law student, not somebody who wants an agreement drafted or reviewed, not an enterprise legal department buying a CLM platform by tender, and not the finance team shopping for accounts payable or procurement software.

What it does not do

  • No legal advice and no drafting: TermsBird keeps the contract you signed and never tells you what a clause means, whether an agreement is enforceable, or what to sign
  • No paid placement: nobody pays to be named on this site, our own product is named as ours wherever it appears beside others, and every competitor figure names the pricing page it was read from and the date
  • No lead selling: an enquiry sent here is answered here, and never passed to a law firm, a broker or a lead buyer

What TermsBird Pro keeps

You keep the contracts. Pro holds each one against its counterparty with its effective date, expiry, notice period and value, warns you before the notice window closes, keeps the obligations somebody in the business owes under it, and exports the lot whenever you ask, so leaving is never a hostage situation.

Who answers for it

Joe Ellul-Turner, Director, Ellul Solutions Ltd, who answers support and every enquiry from this site.
